How to adjust the scope?

Many people don’t know how to adjust, proofread, and use a newly-purchased scope. Experienced people are better, but for newcomers, they don’t know enough about the product. Even if they know it, it’s just a fur. It’s difficult to get it right in one step. Let me briefly talk about it with you, I hope it will help.

1, eliminate parallax

In order to aim accurately and shoot accurately, the parallax of the optical sight must be eliminated, that is, the parallax must be reset to zero, so as to ensure that when you are aiming, the position of the sight is still accurate when the eye position changes slightly. At this time, you can calibrate the sight point of the scope and the impact point as much as possible! The scope cannot be attached to the eyes like a telescope. The correct way to use it should be to leave a distance of about 4~7cm, because it has recoil and recoil when shooting. It will cause the shooting equipment and the scope to collide back, and it is easy to knock the eyes, so the general scope will be designed with a reasonable exit pupil distance.

2, the meaning of the necessary parameters

Some numbers commonly found on the scope of the scope are the parameters of the scope, such as 3-9×40, which means that this is a zoom scope with a minimum of 3x and a maximum of 9x, and the lens diameter is 40mm; for example, 4×40 will take this. It is a fixed-magnification sight, the magnification is 4 times, and the lens diameter is 40mm; there is also our most common distance compensation knob adjustment knob located directly above, and the wind deviation knob is located on the right. (When you turn the knob, whether it’s the upper one or the side one, the offset of a click is 1/4 inch adjustment. The click value is 1/4 MOA (1 inch = 2.54cm), and the focus is 10Y (1Y) recently. = 0.9144m, that is to say 10Y≈9.1m, the 1/4 click value means that the impact point of 100 yards has moved 2.54/4=0.635cm). If adjustment is required, the process is also very simple. If the impact point is at the center of the cross Below, the upper adjustment button adjusts the appropriate amount along the arrow up direction; if the popping point deviates from the right side of the cross line, adjust the left and right wind deflection adjustment buttons along the arrow left to adjust the vertical and horizontal adjustment components of the reticle. vice versa.

3, adjust the scope

When adjusting the impact point, you must first determine an aiming distance. If the distance to the target is set to 10 meters in advance, a set of 3 test calibrations, then a total of four steps.

1) Find out the actual impact point

First put the target map, or target, I suggest that novices should use the target map first to practice more clearly, and it is easier to get started, and hit the center 3 times.

2) Find the center of the shooting point

The aiming distance is 10 meters. If you shoot three times and you are not in the bullseye, then you need to correct the scope at this time. Find the three points you just shot three times, connect them, and find the center point.

3) Measure the vertical distance between the actual shooting center and the target center point

If the horizontal distance between the center of the measuring triangle and the center of the target is 40.74mm and the vertical distance is 45.66mm, as mentioned above, the upper and lower knobs of the scope are marked with 1/4″100YD, and a quarter of an inch is equal to 6.35mm. That is to say, the horizontal direction is shifted to the right (40.74÷6.35) X10 = 64.15748 divisions (here 10 refers to the aiming at 10 meters), adjust the left and right wind deflection knobs, and rotate about 64 divisions in the L direction, which is click 64 under. In the same way, we can conclude that the vertical direction is deviated (45.66÷6.35)X10 = 71.90551 divisions, adjust the knob up and down, and rotate 72 divisions in the UP direction, which is 72 clicks. Usually by this step, the basic calibration calculation is completed, and there is still the last step of correction.

4) Re-adjust and test three times at the aiming distance of 10 meters

Because there is no careful measurement and adjustment, there is basically an error, but the error should be about 1mm, and then adjust it again, that is, rotate one grid up, and rotate it to the right for 10 meters to complete the point. At this time, shooting again should aim at the bullseye.

If you want to measure the distance more accurately and simply, you can choose a ranging sight. This type of sight does not require a ruler to measure, and does not need a reference object. It basically measures the distance automatically without error, especially when facing movement. It is most effective when it is difficult to estimate the distance of the target or hunting. Like a general shooting range or fixed shooting, there will be reference objects, or pre-measurement and so on. It still depends on what environment you do. For example, Boshi can make zooming scopes, one of which is a range finding scope. The overall shape is small and exquisite, which is easy to carry.
